The last days of January have wrapped themselves in Winter, grey skies, trees draped with drops of drizzle - but already the days are beginning to stretch longer. There is an extra half hour of painting in daylight in the evenings. And tomorrow is the first day of Spring.
Really, first day of spring? I always think of December, January and February as winter and March April and May as spring. I realise a rose by any other name would smell as sweet so who cares what the season is called. I just hope it is not too dreary! :)
ReplyDeleteyey...spring is coming!! I love those beautiful flowers and buds :)
ReplyDeleteBella, it's true what you say, February can be the most Wintry-est of months! Here in Ireland, February 1st is St. Brigid's Day and traditionally the first day of Spring. This is a photo of a painting I did last Spring - I just wanted to remind myself of colours and blossoms to come in the coming weeks!
ReplyDeleteEleanor, yes, Spring has sprung;)
